On 11/12/2025 Jenny Magyari had this to say:
We absolutely love Virginia Montessori Academy. Our son loves going to school each day, the teachers and staff are warm and create a wonderful learning environment, and there’s a strong sense of community. Our children have been in several schools in the area throughout the years, and we couldn’t be happier that we found VAMA.

On 11/11/2025 Andries Dimopoulos had this to say:
My son has been here since this location opened and it’s been a fantastic experience so far! The staff are incredible and he is learning so much during his time there. Would definitely recommend enrolling if you haven’t already!

On 10/24/2025 Dr. Cristou had this to say:
We moved our kiddo here after having a bad experience with another Montessori School in the area. From the first moment we walked in, we knew this would be a great place! The space is incredibly safe from cameras to lock doors. What I love most is that everybody that works here is always smiling. They seem happy to be at work and genuinely really like children. Our kiddo is a 4-year-old so he is in the preschool. The two teachers, miss him and Miss Rudy are so wonderful. We get regular pictures through the app. And lots of information about his strengths and growing edges. It's also amazing because they have hot lunch so all the kids eat the same thing and you don't have to worry about packing lunch. Our kiddo comes home everyday, happy and smiling telling us lots of stories about school. The complete opposite of what was happening at his other school. If you're looking for a preschool, we highly recommend montessoria Academy. I can't speak to the baby or toddler program, but what I can say is that the people working with the kids always are happy, very attentive and present. We're really thankful to have found this school and we highly recommend them!

On 8/15/2025 Sharyn Lange had this to say:
We are thrilled that Virginia Montessori Academy opened in Purcellville. Our three-year-old has been there for a few weeks and he is loving it so far. He is having so much fun that sometimes, at the end of the day, he doesn’t want to leave and asks if he can stay! The building is very inviting, bright and clean. The teachers and staff are responsive and great at communicating via the school’s app. Everyone at the school is welcoming and kind. Either Ms. Kayla or Ms. Grace greets us with a smile each morning. Ms. Hatsumi seems dedicated to hiring teachers and staff that genuinely love what they do which makes all the difference in quality childcare. Ms. Ruby has been particularly amazing. In the mornings, our child asks if we are going to Ms. Ruby’s and if we can go “now!”. She put together a little birthday celebration for him with a handmade dinosaur crown and sent home a handwritten card which made him feel so special. The kids got to enjoy muffins together and we got cute pictures from the day. Our toddler tells us that “Ms. Ruby is fun!”. He has also made such great progress with potty training because of Ms. Ruby; we are very grateful. It sounds like there are going to be a lot of fun activities planned and we love that the school is dedicated to teaching independence. The kids have even been baking their own bread! We also love how the children eat with place settings including real plates, utensils and little glasses and are in charge of washing their own dishes at the end of a meal. The children get plenty of outdoor time too which is so important to us. This is the type of place a parent can drop off their child and know that they are going to be well taken care of, will learn and have fun. We’re excited for our baby girl to be attending soon as well. We’re so glad to be part of this community and can’t wait for other kids to join the school.

On 8/14/2025 Miranda Meadows had this to say:
My daughter has been going here since they opened a couple months ago. She is in the infant room and has been loving it, she gets so excited when I bring her in. The staff is wonderful with great communication. We are very happy with our decision to enroll her here and can’t wait to watch her learn and grow!

FAQ

What ages do you serve at Virginia Montessori Academy?
We welcome children from 12 months to 6 years old at our Leesburg location, and from 8 weeks to 6 years old at our Purcellville location. Our program includes a specialized Kindergarten curriculum designed for third-year students in the primary classroom (ages 3–6).
What is your enrollment policy and how do I reserve a spot for my child?
While we encourage families to begin at the start of the school year for smoother transitions, we offer open enrollment year-round to accommodate different needs. To reserve a spot, we ask families to schedule a tour (with your child, if possible) and submit a deposit equal to one month’s tuition, which is applied to the last month or carried forward if your child returns the following year.
How is Virginia Montessori Academy different from a daycare?
We are a Montessori preschool, not a daycare. Our program is rooted in the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, offering a rich, structured curriculum led by trained educators—even for our youngest students. We emphasize independence, consistency, and full-time enrollment, and we collaborate closely with families to support each child’s unique learning journey.
What enrichment programs do you offer?
We offer a variety of enrichment classes as part of our curriculum. At our Leesburg location, students enjoy Spanish, music, physical education, and yoga. Enrichment programs at Purcellville are coming soon. These classes are included in tuition.
Is Virginia Montessori Academy a year-round school?
Yes, we operate year-round. Families can enroll in our 10-month academic program (August–June) and also choose to participate in weekly summer sessions as needed.
